On 5 July, our colleague Miha Hafner attended the kick-off meeting of the new EU project FOSTER (Fostering Child-Friendly Legal Environments through Collaborative Networks). The coordinating institution, the Centre for European Constitutional Law (CECL), organised the meeting in Athens, Greece.
FOSTER is an EU-funded project that will address the urgent need to create a legal environment that ensures child victims receive appropriate support and protection. This will be achieved through capacity-building activities for lawyers, including victim-sensitive communication skills and developing guides for legal practitioners. The project will promote the establishment of robust cooperation networks between legal practitioners, relevant authorities and stakeholders and provide them with the necessary tools to sustain such cooperation.
The project brings together five partners from four EU countries (Greece, Bulgaria, Hungary and Slovenia).
