Anxiety and Ignorance in Neo-liberal Times

The lecture will examine anxieties that are on the raise in today’s times, especially those that are related to people’s questioning direction of their lives, their body image, happiness and success. In addition, the lecture will show how new development in genetics adds to the list of contemporary anxieties. The increase of anxiety has opened up new possibilities of ignorance. In conclusion, the lecture will address the question of what are the benefits of ignorance for the individual and what are the social implication of its increase in today’s times.
