Luka Gal Prestor

Luka Gal Prestor is a research assistant at the Institute of Criminology at the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana and a trainee lawyer at the Supreme Court in Ljubljana. He graduated from the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana and, after completing his postgraduate studies, works simultaneously as a researcher and legal trainee. In his master’s thesis, which he successfully defended in September 2023, he examined the punishment of violent dissocial offenders. His research area and interests cover a range of criminological and criminal law topics, with a particular focus on the psychopathology of offenders, the assessment of criminal responsibility, the intersection of law, psychology and mental disorders, and broader issues related to punishment and organized crime.
