As part of the Open Education for a Better World (OE4BW) initiative, Prof. Ada Gruntar from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Ljubljana and our researcher, Assoc. Prof. Mojca M. Plesničar, have prepared a module for educators in the field of legal translation. It is aimed at those who struggle with teaching the specifics of translating legal texts between two languages.
The module includes a short summary (Intro – .docx, 52 KB), basics of translation (I – .pptx, 5,6 MB), basics of law (II – .pptx, 104 MB), a case study (III – .docx, 63 KB) and an example of building a glossary (IV – .docx, 44 KB).
The online mentoring programme Open Education for a Better World (OE4BW) supports the development and implementation of open educational resources on topics with social impact in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. All OE4BW projects follow the structure of addressing a problem (at least one or more of the Sustainable Development Goals), finding a solution with an impact on society and ensuring the quality of the OER developed.
